THE ROLE OF CLOUD COMPUTING IN BUSINESS CONTINUITY DURING THE PANDEMIC

The overarching goal of the research was to learn how cloud computing has changed BCP. The research strategy used in the study was a desktop review. The term "desk research" is used to describe studies that do not include collecting primary data from the field. When opposed to field research, desk research is typically thought of as a cost-effective strategy due to its reliance on existing resources for data collection. This is because the main expenses associated with desk research is executive time, telephone rates, and directories. So, the research used data and findings from previously published studies, publications, and statistics. It was simple to get this secondary data from the library and internet journals. According to the results, there is a lack of methodological and contextual research on the topic of cloud computing and its effect on BCP. Business continuity planning was greatly improved by cloud computing, according to preliminary empirical review, thanks to its greater scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency. Incorporating cloud computing into business continuity plans improved interruption management and made operations more resilient. Problems including security concerns and integration issues were found, nevertheless, despite these advantages. Strong security measures and the alignment of cloud technologies with current continuity frameworks were necessary responses to these threats. When appropriately handled, security and integration concerns with cloud computing allowed it to become an invaluable tool in ensuring company continuity.
