Resilience Amidst Devastation: Qualitative Insights from Gaza During the War

This case study explores the lived experiences of Palestinians in Gaza amidst the ongoing War that started on October 7th, 2023. Drawing on the detailed testimony of one of the co-authors and his observations, the paper highlights the profound socioeconomic, social, and psychological impacts of the War on Gaza's population. The case describes the daily strategies individuals and families employ to survive and adapt, taking the unique economics of the Gaza war. It provides a nuanced understanding of resilience values in the face of extreme adversity. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive humanitarian aid, targeted economic and socioeconomic driven intervention programs that would alleviate the suffering and promote sustainable recovery in Gaza.
