Women Empowerment, Intersectionality, Legislative ReformsAbstract
This paper explores gender inequality, focusing on India's case. Despite legislative support for women's empowerment, community-level challenges persist, revealing a gap between policy gains and implementation. Political advancements coexist with prevalent violence against women, emphasizing the complex nature of women's rights. Economic empowerment emerges as pivotal, with research linking women's economic rights to positive global growth. Educational disparities, healthcare challenges, and cultural factors underscore persistent obstacles. The review stresses the importance of political participation for democratic societies. The intersectionality perspective highlights the interconnectedness of social factors in understanding gender disparities. Advocating for a holistic approach, the paper urges collective efforts in legislative reforms, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and cultural shifts to foster inclusive, equitable societies globally.
