APPLICATION OF CASE BASED REASONING AND NEAREST NEIGHBOR ALGORITHM FOR POSITIONING FOOTBALL PLAYERS

Sport is an activity needed by humans for physical development and growth. One of the most popular and most popular sports in the world today including in Indonesia is soccer. The popularity of football is inseparable from the presence of supporters. The high expectations of supporters at a club, requires the coach and management team to develop the best strategies for each match. The potential of every soccer player must be managed well in order to optimize performance in the field in accordance with the competencies they have towards the position of players in the field. Players who have good abilities will benefit one team. The exit of the best ability of a player is inseparable from the placement of the ideal position for these players according to their potential. This study applies case-based reasoning using the nearest neighbor algorithm to build a system that can help the work of football club coaches and management teams in determining player positions according to the abilities and potential of football players based on similarities in previous cases. If there are similarities or similarities, experience from old problems will be used to solve new problems. Testing the system of determining the position of football players based on the potential of players using the nearest neighbor method produces an accuracy rate of 97%.
