Friction Stir Welding (FSW), a solid-state joining process that joins the work piece without fusion or packing materials. A rapid rotating non-consumable high potency tool which lengthens from a circular part creates the heat. That heat is utilized for joining aluminum alloys work pieces and also for other products such as, sheets and hollow pipes. Common friction stir welding machine is large size and it requires huge welding effort and power. On other hand, the newly designed friction stirs welding machine having the specifications of lesser weight, comfort, mobility. The aim of this research work is to design and develop the portable friction stir welding machine for medium industrial applications.
