AN INVESTIGATION INTO INTRAPRENEURSHIP WITHIN THE INDIAN CORPORATE AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The 21st century has seen a transformation in the way big businesses operate due to the rapid advancement of technology and its rapid use in everyday life. Business organizations are facing fierce competition in the marketplace due to more dynamic economic scenarios brought about by globalization. They have realized that survival and sustenance will be challenging unless they take good care of their human resources to provide better results in terms of increased productivity, cost-effective processes, creative thinking, and knowledge application. Under these circumstances, human resource management has changed significantly to meet the needs of its workers, allowing them to feel comfortable and alleviated of work-related stress. The goal of this strategy is to harness human resources' talent and turn it into marketable goods and services. Large companies like Google create work environments that make employees feel at home in order to draw in fresh talent.
Employees' independence and autonomy at work encourage them to apply their expertise, take calculated risks, take on new challenges, and accept responsibility for their job, which eventually results in the predicted intrapreneurship behavior. Organizations that provide IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) are more likely to see these kinds of developments. Over the past forty years, this industry has grown exponentially in India, which is now home to many IT and ITES companies. Up to 7.7% (of GDP) of the Indian economy is contributed by the IT and ITES sectors.
