INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE (2018-2022): A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY

The study examined 193 articles published in the International Journal of Library and Information Science (IJLIS) from 2018 to 2022. The study aimed to analyze the distribution of articles by issue, monthly distribution, cumulative distribution, authorship patterns, degree of collaboration, and article page length. The highest number of articles 48 (24.87%) was published in Issue No. 4 of 2018, with article counts per issue ranging from 8 to 14. The majority of articles 90 (46.63%) were co-authored by two individuals, indicating a high degree of collaboration with a collaboration index of 0.74. Additionally, 48 articles (24.88%) were 5 pages long. The research focused on understanding authorship patterns and collaboration dynamics in academic research. In 2018, Issue No.2 had the highest number of published with 14 articles (7.25%) compared to other issues. IJLIS is a double-blind peer-reviewed open-access journal with an impact factor of 8.27 and is indexed in the Scope Database. It is cited in Research Gate, Google Scholar and is UGC-approved.
