MANUFACTURING OF SHOE POLISHING FROM FLESHING WASTE
Keywords:
Shoe Polish, Green Fleshing, Lime FleshingAbstract
Preparing of shoe polish from fleshing waste is a good source of animal fat (tallow) that is the main ingredient for shoe polishing. Shoe polishing production from fleshing waste has economic and environmental advantages for the country and the tanning sector it needs low investment, cheapest. The purpose of this study is to produce/manufacturing shoe polishing from fleshing waste. From 5 kg of fleshing waste 400 gram of fat is produce that is the main product used in shoe polishing by adding of chemical get high valuable product. By taking 50 gram of fat and addition of chemical wax, pigment, Naphtha, kerosene, pigment, and PU binder, protein binder produce 100 gram of shoe polishing and from 400 gram of fat 8 pieces of 100 gram of shoe polishing is prepared. From the result leather industry can get much amount of money from the waste, out of 2289kg/day waste 100 gram of 3664 pieces is prepared shoe polishing in the paste form this leads to cost-saving and environmental friend.835485kg/year waste will be save, 365000 birr/year save for transportation of waste disposal.
