Abstract

This article examines the transformative role of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots in revolutionizing healthcare delivery and patient experience. As healthcare systems worldwide grapple with accessibility issues and the need for personalized care, AI-powered chatbots have emerged as a promising solution. This article explores four key advanced features of these chatbots: 24/7 accessibility, generative AI for tailored responses, context retention for coherent conversations, and bot memory for continuous learning. Through a comprehensive analysis of current implementations and potential future applications, we demonstrate how these features collectively contribute to a more responsive, personalized, and efficient healthcare ecosystem. Our findings suggest that advanced AI chatbots not only bridge critical gaps in healthcare accessibility but also enhance the quality of patient-provider interactions, potentially leading to improved health outcomes. However, we also address the ethical considerations and technical challenges that must be navigated as this technology becomes more prevalent in healthcare settings. This article provides valuable insights for healthcare providers, policymakers, and technologists seeking to leverage AI chatbots to improve healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction.
