Abstract

Edge computing has become a game-changing technology that has changed the way data is processed and made it possible for smart, real-time apps to be used in many areas. This article looks at how edge computing has changed over time because of the huge increase in Internet of Things devices and the growing need for real-time processing. Edge AI, better security, and microdata centers, which allow localized data processing, better privacy, and scalable infrastructure, are some of the most important breakthroughs in edge computing that are talked about. The article goes into more detail about how edge computing works in smart cities, healthcare, and industrial IoT. It shows how it can be used to improve infrastructure in cities, make patient care better, and start the fourth industrial revolution. With the rise of 5G networks and the widespread use of IoT devices, edge computing is set to change the way computers work and open up new ways for smart, real-time apps to be used.
